Go beyond the obvious

The eCommerce sites that get noticed are ones that either offer something different or offer something old in a new or easier way.

For instance, a site that only offers services could still generate website revenue by offering ‘smart’ gift certificates.  The site’s shopping cart can be programmed to customize each certificate with the recipient name and a unique code.  When it’s redeemed on your site and/or at any of your brick-and-mortar locations, the certificate’s code is entered into your computer system and then it can only be used once!
